Neurala develops artificial neural network (ANN): a machine learning tool based on a bio-inspired approach to replicate the way the human brain works. ANN enables deep learning for machines and offers radical new capabilities including autonomous decision-making, autonomous navigation machine perception and real-time learning.
Neurala was born out of 8 years of collaboration (2006-2014) with Boston University and US government to develop its deep learning software: this includes providing the artificial intelligence (AI) for NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover. In 2014, the company shifted its focus to commercial AI applications, making its high-level technology product-ready and releasing a first SDK in September 2016.
Max, Heather and Anatoly are all three PhD-level academics that have worked together for over 10 years. They have each authored dozens of academic publications and are recognized as top specialists in their fields.
